When we purchased Shana she had oak plywood benches around the interior perimeter. The rear would have originally had a cushioned bench that would fold into an almost full-size bed with storage cabinets overhead. In redesigning Shana we decided to install two almost full-size beds in a bunk bed configuration in the rear. This bunk bed configuration has been great for growing our family of four into a family of six. The bottom bunk holds a full size mattress with storage underneath and enough room to sit up without bumping heads. The top bunk is not quite a full size bed, but plenty of room for two children. It is surprising Shasta did not offer a bunk bed option like this in their original Airflyte design at a time when families were larger on average than they are now.
